Feed In A Box – Northern Colorado Micro-Greens (sometimes called Fodder)

Yes we have micro-greens.  We are producing 1200-1500 lb. per day of fresh, green grass for our herd of almost 200  elite breeding alpacas and fiber goats.  And no, I did not say hydroponic fodder.  We are farmers and ranchers and to us here in “the west” fodder means silage or poor quality hay.  It brings up thoughts of the worst quality feed we could have.

That is NOT what we are producing. No, we are at the other end of the quality spectrum.  We are producing the best quality of feed that can be available other than young, spring grass in our multi-species pastures (no, I did not say weed free timothy or brome!).  We are looking to change the branding from fodder to micro-greens for livestock!!  Micro-greens is a much better description for this amazing feed.  A friend of our calls his product Pasture on Demand – also a great description of what we are producing.

So, start calling these beautiful green and white mats of the best quality feed for livestock – MICRO-GREENS.  They are fodder no more.
