Donoma Si is Native American (Omaha Nation) for Seed from the Sun.  At the Center for Ecolonomic Excellence and Development (CEED), LLC we have chosen this name, Donoma Si, for our Sustainable Livestock Nutrition Program.  We are dedicated to educating about sustainable technologies that will make livestock production a viable option for all species and for business sizes from big to small.

Three-sided pallet building..

We develop strategies and technologies ourselves and we try to stay knowledgeable about  the unique and new technologies that are emerging around the world.  We are not biased about the viability of our technologies versus those developed by others which in many cases may be developed by groups more adept than us.  We do strongly believe we can better educate about concepts, technologies or inventions with which we have had personal operational experience.  We see ourselves as farmer/rancher/doer educators.  We believe that we can “walk the walk and not just talk the talk”.

We operate the CEED in Northern Colorado, where we commercially raise livestock ourselves at our Mountain Sky Ranch campus and we conduct implementation and improvement research and development on a number of promising technologies. We are also developing additional Center’s for Ecolonomic Excellence in the mideastern United States (Ohio), the Caribbean (the Dominican Republic), Hawaii (the big island) and Central America (Costa Rica).

We are committed to being completely open minded about food types and feeding strategies that may be better than what farmers and ranchers are now traditionally using.  We disdain the attitude of doing things the way “dad did and grandpa did before him”.  We are convinced that we are on the cusp of a revolution in livestock nutrition, and we want to educate as many livestock producers about options as we can.
